Summer 2024 Available Positions

Small Group Counselor

Provide 24-hour leadership for 6-10 campers in a residential camp setting. Work collaboratively with a different co-counselor each week to plan and lead outdoor activities and daily small group Bible studies. Encourage the development of Christian community and individual character. During the summer, work with a variety of ages (grades 1-12) and a variety of themed and specialty programs for six themed weeks of camp.

Music Specialist

Plan, organize, and lead musical activities for grades 1-12. Lead campfire singing and music for worship. Lead catalogue of camp graces for every meal. Ability to play keyboard or guitar is helpful.

Naturalist

Design and lead age-appropriate nature activities and programs for grades 1-12. Connect campers and staff with the natural world. Incorporate the summer curriculum theme into nature activities.  Teach and model care for creation.

Waterfront Director

Organize and lead all water related activites at Camp Asbury’s lakefront (swimming canoeing, slip n slide, fishing, etc). Schedule and supervise daily lifeguards and conduct trainings on water safety skills specific to Camp Asbury’s waterfront. Supervisory experience recommended but not required. Maintain equipment and promote a safe atmosphere for staff and campers.

Media Specialist

Manage Camp Asbury’s social media accounts during the summer season. Take pictures and videos of campers and staff participating in all Camp Asbury activities. Create flyers and advertisements for Camp Asbury events and promote Camp Asbury to the local communities. Create summer staff slideshow.
