Lead Cook
Prepare and serve high-quality meals for campers, guests, and staff in a year-round camp and retreat setting. Lead and supervise food service staff when assigned while maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming kitchen environment. Prepare meals for retreats, school groups, special events, and summer resident camp, including outdoor meals, cookouts, and rustic camping experiences. Accommodate dietary needs, follow food safety and sanitation requirements, and support Camp Asbury’s mission of providing exceptional hospitality to all guests. This part-time position requires current ServSafe and Level 2 Food Protection certification, previous culinary or commercial kitchen experience, and the ability to work collaboratively and flexibly in a fast-paced environment.
Maintenance Assistant
Help maintain and improve Camp Asbury’s 450-acre camp and retreat center through general repairs, facility upkeep, groundskeeping, and program area preparation. Work alongside the Site Manager to keep buildings, roads, equipment, grounds, and retreat spaces clean, safe, functional, and welcoming for campers and guests. Perform a variety of indoor and outdoor tasks, including basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, landscaping, mowing, snow removal, equipment maintenance, and approved construction or improvement projects. This part-time position averages approximately 20 flexible hours per week year-round, with opportunities for additional seasonal groundskeeping hours, and is ideal for a dependable, hands-on problem solver who enjoys variety and takes pride in seeing the results of their work.
Summer 2027 Available Positions
Small Group Counselor
Provide 24-hour leadership for 6-10 campers in a residential camp setting. Work collaboratively with a different co-counselor each week to plan and lead outdoor activities and daily small group Bible studies. Encourage the development of Christian community and individual character. During the summer, work with a variety of ages (grades 1-12) and a variety of themed and specialty programs for five themed weeks of camp.
