Self Directed Activites
Self-directed outdoor activities at the camp include an eighteen-hole disc golf course and an open meadow (for large group games and field activities). Three grass volleyball courts are located around the camp. The camp has five miles of hiking trails for nature observation, recreation, and personal reflection. (Trail maps are available on site). Two miles of the Buckeye Trail (a 1,500 mile hiking path in Ohio) are located on the Camp Asbury property (www.buckeyetrail.org). Sledding is popular at Camp Asbury in the winter.
Authorized Program Activities
With advance notice (minimum of one month prior to your event) Asbury staff can provide the following program assistance.

- Waterfront (Swimming and canoeing)
- Star Gazing
- Guided day hikes

- Wagon Rides
Lake Hibbard, approximately 4 acres in size, is available exclusively to Camp Asbury guests . The camp’s natural waterfront (open May-Sept) includes a sand beach a marked swimming area with floating docks, a picnic pavilion, and a fire ring. Lake Hibbard offers a beautiful setting for swimming, canoeing, fishing, nature study and contemplation. The only charge for the use of the lake and waterfront, is the cost of lifeguards. An appropriate number of lifeguards with current certifications, approved by the Camp Asbury Director, are required for all aquatic activities at Camp Asbury.
